The aroma is quite vivid and intense, but not intrusive. This cherry brandy is easily recognisable for its delicate aromatic profile and its flavour of fresh nuts, evocative of fresh sour cherries. A light note of marzipan rounds the spirit out quite nicely.
Description
For this spirit, we use the old variety Zigeunerweichsel, the gypsy cherry. The fully ripe cherries from the Weinviertel are harvested without the stems. And ‘fully ripened’ here indicates that the pit will separate from the flesh of the fruit by itself.
